In my debut novel, I tell the story of a town that forbids anyone from entering the forest because nobody who enters returns. When a young girl's curiosity about nature piques the king's fear, he exiles her to the prohibited woods. What unfolds is a tale of a girl banished into the mysterious forest because she displeased the man in control. But fate has a way of turning the tables, and years later, when the king finds himself in desperate need of her help, she is dragged back to the town to save the same man who cast her out.
